We purchased a pork order (grass fed). I would not recommend. The chops, roast and ham were excellent but we cannot eat the sausages as the amount of salt is extreme and makes them inedible. The bacon is also very, very salty but can be used when mixing with other foods which require salt.

June 2011 was the first time we ordered beef and chicken from beef connections. All I have to say is that it is the best meat and chicken we have ever eaten. My wife made meatballs with the ground beef and as they were cooking in the tomato sauce, the whole kitchen filled with the most delicious aroma. My 7 year old son couldn't keep his nose out of the pot and couldn't wait to eat the meatballs.

The thing we like the most is that most of the beef you can almost cut with your fork, very tender and tasty. The hamburger is very lean and all the meats are a good lean cut. Now I am introducing my daughter to their service and hopefully one day they will have a central Toronto delivery. Keep up the good work and all the best !!

We're pleased to tell people where we get the favourful (and healthy) beef we serve, when asked. There's no comparison with your product and that of the grocery stores; I remember one incident where the meat didn't make it from the BBQ to the table; it was consumed standing at the counter to "mmmms" and "this is sooooo goods"!! The portion sizes work for our small family, the meat is well packaged stays well in the freezer. Thank you for providing a consistently superior product.

WOW! I just made the BEST pulled pork ever using the pork shoulder roast I got in my mixed pork box. Also we had incredible t-bone steaks last night that had my 2 year old yelling "MORE MEAT, MORE MEAT" and chewing the bone like a puppy. When placed our first order we visited the Huber Farm for pick up. We met members of the family and had a tour of the barn. It was so nice to see animals with lots of space and living in a clean environment. Moms and babies were kept together, baby goats playing. Good to see the attitude that just because we are going to eat them doesn't mean they should not have a good quality of life. We are very happy with the quality of the meat. Exceptional taste. Well packaged. Can't beat it!

Yours is the only ground beef which I will eat medium/ rare, without fear of salmonella, having read as much as I have about the huge agribusinesses and killing plants, especially in the US. My brother in law raises cattle in Montana. He always has a freezer full of his own beef which tastes wonderful. We used to always avoid buying steaks and roasts after we came back from a visit because what we could buy at the grocery store was so disappointing by comparison. My wife saw an article on Beef Connections in the Globe and Mail when we lived in Guelph. That day - it was a Saturday - I called and arranged to drive out and pick up a box to try.
It was nothing less than terrific. The next night I bbq'd a steak for myself (my wife didn't eat beef). It was tasty, tender and well marbled - much better than store bought steak. I was hooked from that point on and have continued to buy from you.
BTW - my wife now eats beef ;)
